I was born with natural cravings to fruits and veggies or anything green or leafy.Maybe,in my previous life I was a horse but I can't even run within three minutes without going breathless so probably not.Okay, maybe a goat but I've never saw a really OBESE GOAT so I'm disqualified.Maybe I was a panda. That cute fluffy Panda.I don't know. Oh hello there! If you happen to to be lost in your online quest and you ended here, this is a blog about...I'm not actually sure.Let's just say, about FOOD and definitely not about my before and after life fantasies. SO this year,I think I have grown up a little bit from the person who only knows how to eat to the person who knows how to make one!Yey!Thanks to Rosie who inspired me to create a tumblr account so I can follow awesome food blogs! It's really overwhelming that I thought of trying them myself. Well,I have no idea but my love to it fueled me to start making my own and eventually I find it easy now to prepare. So I started small by trying first on dressing. As of the moment,I'm familiar with balsamic vinegar with honey.I have tried different ways until I've mastered the perfect taste.I would make extra salad and bring some for my friends at the office so I can share them my joy.Okay,I'm lying. It just makes me happy sharing my food. Most of the time, they liked it.I don't know if they are just being nice to me or it's just really good.I would like to think it is because even people who are not usually into veggies and fruits tends to eat or at least taste what I've made and you see the surprise in their face that they actually like it.Even our dog and cats loved my salad! Seriously, when it's meal time, they are also beside me so I tried feeding them with whatever food I'm eating. To my surprise, our puppy eats whatever I'm eating. And oh,one of our cats fave is watercress! We share something in common.Maybe the cat is my soulmate that I have been long waiting and searching for. You might think I'm such a lonely person who's got no one to share my food.Well,in that case my friend, you're very correct but also you're very wrong! I would really love to share this with my family but they are miles and miles away from me so I just shared it to my friends.Dogs and cats included. Also, yes I live on my own but I'm fine because I never feel empty space.I live in a matchbox size room so space is never an issue coz I'm squeezed in a box.Oh where are we? Sorry,I got carried away. Going back.I don't consider myself as SALAD EXPERT or anything like that but I would like to share my story hoping that it will inspire others who have no clue at all when it comes to preparing their own food.I've been there but I followed my heart and it led me to the fridge.Well,partly.Sometimes it led me to the bathroom or bed. Next step was to decide which fruits and veggies combination to make. It's really challenging because most of the stuff posted on tumblr are really foreign to me that I don't have any clue most of the time. But here's the challenging part for me when I was starting out.Bon Jovi was wrong, there's no such thing as bed of roses.First of all, there might be thorns and imagine one stuck in your eye.Maybe a bed sprinkled with roses is acceptable. On a serious note, first thing I did is to familiarize myself with the names apart from budget of course because I have to warn you, your grocery will get more expensive because apparently today, the fresher the more it cost. Also, you have to figure out what those foreign fruits and veggies' names equivalence to our local ones.Indeed, determination and patience combined is all I need. What is hummus? What is beet? Okay,I think I need aspirin for my headache.I've burn too much brain cells I gave so much thought to it. I've spent months of figuring out which vegetables and fruits are good to combine.I'm just eager to learn about something that I'm love.Usually when I'm in dinning places serving salads,I would take note of the ingredients or the dressing used.Though I cannot fully make one exactly,I got some ideas through them.Obviously, strawberry is very expensive so I just go with fruits and veggies we have locally as much as possible cheaper ones.So eventually,I get use to it and I just know how to juggle them.Like when I have left overs in my fridge,I just know how to make a quick salad.I realized it's just that simple. So I think, there are things that we are naturally passionate about that we just ignore or maybe not aware of.If you actually do things that you are passionate about, believe me it's way easier. It's more of entertaining. You have this excitement and deep happiness while doing it and it's self fulfilling. I forgot this is suppose to be a health and wellness blog but still in line.Don't you think?! Haha Sorry for my messy train of thoughts...
