An old man who has speech deffect was ringing a number for HSBC but he's got an 0845 so that means it's not accessible on his end.I tried to ask the operator in the UK to give us a local number which the operator did. When I got back to the caller,he's having a hard time speaking and getting the number. His pen is not working so he has to find another one and it took few minutes. When I asked him if he's with someone else,he said he's alone and I thought that was so sad.How could an old man like him live alone ? Anyways,I give my best shot to make him take the number correctly and after countless times,he finally got it.So that ended after 11 minutes. He thank me for being patient with him to which I truely feel happy that I was of help to him.All that is because I started my shift in good mood and I have lots of things to be thankful about so I wanted to give back and share that energy.I'm glad I'm learning a little more each day to smile and be happy about anything.
This is a reminder for me that before I start complaining of my job,I should be thankful that I was able to help someone who depends on us.

actual call scenarios :)Archives
August 2015
As of November 2015, I have surrendered my headset and took a job that doesn't let you talk at all. I sometimes miss talking to callers on the phone and I will miss updating this blog.
