I use to think it's so complicated to be a woman and I still do.On accessories alone it's pretty hard to catch up.But if there's one thing that I'm concerned the most,it's my hair.Hair is indeed a woman's crowning glory.I personally believed that a woman's hair adds beauty and character to a person. It bothers me a lot because I'm not blessed with good hair so I really have to pamper it from time to time. So again,Verms suggested we try David's in Ortigas through metro deal so we can have it in a cheaper package. We got there around 4pm.It's not crowded at all.In fact, the customers at that time were Sunshine Dizon and two of her friends. Our package includes hair color, hair cut and back massage. After few hours, charaaaannnnnn.Bumagay talaga sa kanya, promise kahit saan kami mapunta napapalingon ang mga tao sa kanya... Tips from my hair dresser; If it's your first time to color your hair, you have to do it like twice or thrice before getting the desired result. If you're going to chose hair color, the darker your hair the lighter the hair color that should be applied.Example mine is really super black and it's my first time so my hair dresser applied mahogany red to achieve the color mahogany brown.Maybe a lot of people know this already, anyone but me.But well,I'm just amused and I just thought of sharing. After our hair make over,we were really hungry so we decided to have dinner at Tiendesitas. But of course,Verms showed me the around first. And guess what, someone made my night- chowchow! I thought it was a teddy bear at first because it wasn't moving! It really cost much so hangang picture lang ang kaya kong iafford muna.. We checked all the dinning places pero wala kaming nagustuhan so ang ending sa Max kami napadpad... So we had our coffee first while waiting for our sinigang na bangus. We had buko pandan, ice cream and some cookies for dessert.Ah,the joy of eating! And just as we are ready to go,heavy rain started to pour down but it didn't stop us from roaming around It was almost midnight when we finally call it a night.Verms on her way to Pasay while I'm on my way to Fairview. Rain or shine we are unstoppable.Puyat pa kami sa lagay na yan.I think I laughed too much dahil sumakit yung panga ko pag uwi ko. At the end of the day,I leave you with these thoughts... According to an article I read online, beauty products for women shares the biggest part in the market which means that it's probably making big profit as compared to other products .And some would even joke about women who are 99% make up and 1% natural. And according to Rene Salud,if you can buy beauty and you can afford it,why not.I have witnessed people who will really spend huge amount of money to look beautiful.Or to others, they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There are really lots of people who are very beautiful on the outside but very ugly on the inside and that's terrible. I bet TLC singers would agree as it says on one of their songs ; You can buy your hair if it won't grow You can fix your nose if he says so You can buy all the make up That M.A.C. can make But if you can't look inside you You're unpretty As for me,I'm a huge admirer of creative and fashionable women.I love watching Victoria Secret's fashion show.I love watching Fashion Runway.I have a huge admiration to fashion designers and models.I have an ultimate admiration to people who can wear clothes in style and in perfect color coordination.I'm an admirer of people who are born as models where they can just wear anything and look ridiculously awesome! But it doesn't mean I have to exactly copy their style.I have my own version of me and I don't want to be a version of someone else.In fact, I don't have any taste in fashion at all and I'm terrible when it comes to it.Just like I've said,I'm just an admirer. What's annoying these days are people who are trying so hard to be like any specific celebrity or model. It's really so sad because they never realize it doesn't always work on everybody. That we are all individually unique. That there are some people born in total awesomeness. Some are meant to be model, beauty queens, designers, and some meant to be just average. And sometimes, you will see someone trying so hard to copy someone and it ended ugly. I think you can do anything you want and call it a treat to yourself as long as you don't lose your self in the process like you are not recognizable anymore. You can treat yourself with a hair cut,a hair color,a hair perm etc.Or you can go for a massage,a spa or anything you want to look more beautiful and feel good.We all value different things in life so some of these choices has something to do with what we value. But I think what matters is as long as you can and feel comfortable. Now,you'd probably hear lots of people saying beauty on the inside is what matters and that's true. But whether you admit or not, beautiful people are treated differently and that would explain why one is willing to spend huge amount of money to look good. Actually,I'm in no place to talk about beauty because it's one of those things that I'm not blessed with.So it's all up to you.As long as you can afford. As long as you're comfortable. As long as it makes you feel good and doesn't make you bitchy. As long as it makes you more confident, just go for it.One of the best feeling in the world is to be appreciated because you're beautiful. And of course,do it in moderation. Or take this advise from one of the most beautiful woman in the world.
I leave you with this story...
A woman suffering from a disease was told by a doctor that she can only last a year.So the woman prayed to God woman: Dear God,please extend my life for another five years God: Certainly (after 5 years) woman: dear God,please extend my life for another 10 years God: sure (after a few minutes, the woman was hit by a car and died and was on the Pearly gates of heaven) woman: I thought you said you're going to extend my life for another 10 years? God: Sorry my child,I didn't recognize you after that surgery you have Well,I hope I made sense because I have that feeling that I didn't.My point is,we are so blessed in different ways.I'm just being thankful I'm bless with the means to be able to enjoy simple things in life.I may not be physically beautiful to the standard of others but I'm thankful God bless me with goodness inside. That I know how to care, love and respect others.I'm thankful that I have a friend who can be with me and make things beautiful. I'm also thankful that I have a job and I'm being paid decently so I can afford to buy beauty products that I needed from time to time. And I'm thankful the way I am because It made me humble and appreciative of others. I admit,I have that longing too! To be desirable and all but I am made the way I am with a greater purpose. And besides, beauty fades as we age but character stays forever. And I hope you enjoy life too.
