In summary Ugly girl was the center of jokes but then she carry such a confident charisma that no girl in her university can look down on her, except she kept all her real feelings in her diary. She worked for a rich brat kid, secretly fancied him but she knew there's no chance that they could be together in the future considering the situation between her and that guy.He had to work for him so she can pay her tuition fee in college much to the jealousy of many girls from her university. In the end, despite how monstrous the guy is,she realized there's a soft spot in him and then eventually fell in love together.Yes,guy fell in love with girl despite the monstrous character drama he pulled in.Turned out, this girl can make him crazy. Not sure if it was a blessing or a curse. and they live happily ever after.Typical high school girl fairy tale. MY THOUGHTS ON THE MOVIE... The story is very predictable and it's nothing special compared to previous love teen drama movies I've tried and have to bear watching. But still,I like this movie for the following reasons. It was half realistic and half non realistic. I was kinda torn how to put this. The first part was okay like it's somehow can happen in the real world but towards the end part,it got a bit off putting. On the part of friendship where Lorrie obviously befriend her because she wanted to get closer to cross only to find out she's competing with her. Then she cried her heart out to Chad, things went smoothly as planned to get her and Chad closer. She went to confront Eya and she told her the truth, that she loved Cross and just like that they are okay. Also the part where Cross read Eya's diary and she doesn't seem upset? We all know how a diary is a sacred safest haven of all our truest self and then someone just read it.Though it's true it's her fault for not keeping it well but still,I will get upset. Not because he's good looking and I have a crush on him doesn't entitle him to read my dairy. I think it was too soon and to clean up? In real world,it doesn't just work like that.Maybe it does for very few people but in general it doesn't just work like that. IT HAS A FRESH DISTINCT NEW APPROACH In most previous teen movies,it's typical ugly girl gets bullied and she just cries helpless and all. Then later on, she gets her revenge by becoming pretty and she get backs to torture those who made fun of her.I was expecting that kind of drama but in fairness,it was consistent towards the end.She was still ugly when guy fell in love with him. Somehow,it's not the typical ugly helpless girl.girl. Eya in this story is very confident specially in the most humiliating times.Funny because it's actually a very effective approach.Sometimes,to spare yourself from getting more embarrassed than you already are,the best way to get up is by making fun of it and not make a big fuss out of it then you run home and wrote everything.Lol! What really still doesn't change were the bitchy brat rich kids who seemed too dumb and helpless and find joy in bullying others.I think its not a fair representation of the rich kids because I knew lots of poor kids who acted more inappropriate than the richer ones in school. I don't think the rich kids are always privilege,I think they are usually those who are voiceless and very careful in everything they do because they have a pricey name to protect. ACTING WAS SUPERB AND THE ONSCREEN CHEMISTRY IS GOOD Kudos to Nadine Lustre for her acting skills.I think she was perfect for the role and she added color to it.Her acting is so on point. She seemed to have that built in funny side so it's easy for her to do comedy I suppose. WITTY "BANATS" AND DIALOGUES.NICE SCRIPT. I love the dialogue.I love how flawless the BANATS are and how convincing it is,credit's to Lustre's acting skills. This girl is made for comedy acting,I hope. LESSONS LEARNED-ATTITUDE. Tragedy,it has it's own way of affecting us.The huge difference is how one takes it. In this story, both Eya and Cross lost their parents.parents. Eya lost both her parents while Cross lose her mom.The huge difference,Eya took it to inspire her while Cross use it as an excuse to be angry with the world dragging everyone in anger. Attitude does makes a huge difference. Also, there's no liberating feeling than being yourself around someone. So the best way to keep someone for life is just to be you.If they like you, they will stay. I had a good laugh all through out! Pretty much recommendable. PAK NA PAK NA LINYAHAN
