GINAGina is one of my few childhood friends that I've been with til high school.I had the chance to meet her at Mega Mall last 2011 for the first time before going abroad. It's been a while since we both left Kiangan in 2003.She's got one daughter now named Jasmine. We haven't heard from each other right after I graduated in H.S.Thanks to social media, because of mobile phones & FB, we reconnect again. When we were kids, the only time we spent catching up or play was on our way to school and after classes going home. Our childhood days was really a painful memory but I'm happy we became friends because we got each other as comfort as we were in the same situation.Let's just say our childhood rights were taken away from us.
The first thing that we talk about during our first meet was our childhood days and she was in tears remembering it.I can tell she's in pain remembering it.I can feel we both are dying to have someone we can talk about it.Things that might be painful but had pushed us to where we both are now. Back in elementary days, she have to deliver the goodies her step mom baked before going to school and have to collect the leftovers in the afternoon.AS for me,I sell veggies in the afternoon right after classes and mostly go home late. Our friendship helped each other emotionally. We talk about our future,of what we wanted to become and what we wanted to be.It was just so amazing and overwhelming when we reconnect again. Things have changed now. She's married.Had been in and out of the country as a DH.Though life is tough,I'm happy seeing her manage life on her own. At least she's got her daughter as her inspiration and joy and that's all that matters. I pray her the happiness and peace of mind. And till we meet again.
