So expect most movies on my review list for the next few weeks will be Audrey Hepburn movies as I am a huge fan of hers.Well, she is the only actress that I have adored in everything from fashion to acting to humanitarian works. Once upon a time,a chauffeurs daughter fell in love to a wealthy man who is impossible to have. Her father was serving the Larabee and she get to witness every woman David Larabee dated much to her jealousy. She was in love with David that she cannot concentrate at all and nothing mattered anymore so she tried to kill herself by intoxicating herself with carbon monoxide. It was actually funny how she turned on all the cars at the garage thinking she can just inhale all the fumes and just die out of it. Thankfully,Linus found her before she collapse and was brought outside the car park before she passed out. To help her move on,her father sent her to Paris to study in a cooking school and be a chef. When she get back from Paris after two years, she bloom as a beautiful lady that David didn't recognized her at all. Finally, the man of her dreams fell in love with her only,he was arranged to a marriage to someone at that time to save the company business. In the course of time,Linus fell in love with her instead but as a businessman and as a reasonable man,he kept his feelings to himself. When David found out that his brother fell in love with her and she started developing feelings for Linus too,he urged Linus to follow her in Paris. I had fun time watching this movie. It was just fun and entertaining watching Audrey Hepburn in any movie.Be it romcom or drama. She doesn't need to exert much effort to be funny. There's something graceful but silly in her. There's this combination of woman and childishness that she can pull it all in just one movie. She's sexy like that. One good example was her first day in cooking school where they were learning about how to crack an egg perfectly. There she was,day dreaming, scared and sad.But when she was caught by the teacher not practicing and showed the broken eggs in her palm, there's no need of exaggeration but she pulled the humor adorably and effortlessly. Gosh,I have so much to talk about but it's nothing deep or anything as compared to other reviews online. I just want to speak all my thoughts on the movie like a little bit of everything. Well I can't speak with deep insight specifically on the part of the characters nor the director specially fashion as I'm not even born when this movie was made but I will just share the things I loved and enjoyed the most watching this movie. It was really funny how she's paired with "Joe in college with an arthritis " as Bogart said in one of the scenes.Well,to be fair she's way too young in this movie opposite her co stars. Well, who cares. It kinda works. She can be both a little girl and a woman and I find that amusing how she can suddenly transform in character as beautiful as that. I also love her dress in this movie more as compared to the famous one she used in "Breakfast at Tiffanys".Of course, that was a very stunning dress but for some reason, the dress she wore during the ball was just captivating, sophisticated and breath taking! Also,stunning-licious! I can't help but be obsess with her hairdo's.A lot of women now a days are really into stylish hair.Having a gorgeous hair helps enhance women's beauty. But with the unique Audrey hairstyle,I think no one can pull it like she does with that face!
I love her Paris life.I love the setting.I love the place. It was humor filled. It has been an ultimate dream for me to one day go and visit Paris.I'm so intrigued of the beauty of the place and the natural romantic environment it offers to any one who wishes to find peace and solace.I think,it's one of her favorite place as it was always a favorite setting for her movies. For some reason,Hepburn gave me the impression that she can easily adopt and adjust in terms of race, age and gender in any role. Not to mention in real life, she's multilingual. She worked with English,American,French and Italian directors and producers.I think she's easy to work with I guess. It was mentioned from an article I read online, she's a favorite from directors.I can also see how pleasant she might be with her co stars as most of her leading man fell in love with her.Even Gregory Peck who was married that time and some others who can easily fall in love with her on set. Another favorite scene was when David put a champagne glass on his pocket and have sat on them earning him 23 stitches. It was even more hilarious when Linus offered him a plastic hammock with a hole on the bottom ,just enough to accommodate David's ass.Their father was also a very funny man indeed. AS for Linus,he was really self conscious as were the case of most Hepburn's leading men.Well, they have every reason to feel insecure with her but I guess it's more of a respect to her rather than insecurity. There's also dramedy. Remember that scene where as painful as it is,Linus has to sent her away so she will not stand int he way of David's marriage but in the end,he ended chasing her? That was bittersweet. what could hurt more than to send some one you love away? Seems Linus was forced to make a decision to choose between the two loves of his life.Money or heart? He chose to fall in love this time.It was sweet and dramatic how the movie ended.
