Place: Stella Mariz,Bagac Bataan The beauty of nature has always is my escape to self medicate and let me just be thankful about life when I feel nothing is making any sense.I usually prefer travelling going somewhere less crowded when I desperately need to shed off stress and all the ugly feelings that comes with.Nature has it's own way of healing me when I get so mentally destructed. Me and my office mates just randomly come up with a plan to go somewhere but we were not sure where to.We met at Shopwise Don Antonio and just tried to decide it ourselves. After few minutes of deliberation,we grab our backpacks, headed to Cubao Terminal and next thing I know we were headed to Bataan. On our way to Bataan,I was seated beside Princess and have spent hours talking about my life! I was so surprise of how I just easily poured her my life story without any hesitation at all.Well,That's the thing with Princess,She's a good listener and she has the ability to make me open up comfortably. We were expecting five hours trip but instead it only took us three hours! We arrived too early as a result with no accommodation nearby and on a tight budget,we have no choice but to spent the night 24 hour Jollibee near by the bus depot where we stayed hours just to kill time. Okay,we just didn't kill time.I think we might have too much fun listening to Sheng's personal hygiene tales and some few tips on the side. We have to order something to sort of an early breakfast not to be obvious that we are just killing time and well, nakakahiya naman kasi.Bukod sa nakitambay, ubod pa ngingay. Around 0330 AM, we went to the market to buy food for lunch. We have to spend within the food budget we have set aside so have to cut meat.Well,Sheng is more concerned of buying hotdog sticks, foil for the fish and fork and spoon and we all gave her that "are-you-kidding-me-stare".[At times like this,we have to be practical don't you think?!] We almost bruised her in our deadly stares.Just kidding, she's just unbelievable but very funny! (Kaldero nga at kutsilyo wala kami, hotdog stick pa ang mas concern nya talaga, sarap tuhugin lang hehehe) Anyway, after market we were not sure whether to take bus or jeep going to Balaca. The trycicle drivers who offered to bring us to the market was offering us a deal 400 per head. While negotiating,a jeep going to Balaca came on time and we gleefully race to take a seat!Felt like we are running a race of survival and one has to get a seat or else we die! Thank God we didn't give in to the tricycle drivers! We ride a jeep going to Balaca for only 50 pesos!Imagine the difference! We were like sardines sa jeep pero keribels lang.Ganon talaga,di pwede mag inarte.Kuya Lito, our jeep driver from Balaca terminal was a cheerful one, friendly and very entertaining. He was kind enough to directly bring us to Stella Mariz. He also left us his contact number so he can arrange some drivers to fetch us in the afternoon. We arrived around 7am at the beach.I have to admit I was a bit disappointed because it's a pigsty specially the stalls area. While cooking our food,I tried cleaning our place because I feel concerned that eventually all the garbage will go to the sea.True enough, during our seaside tour,I saw a pile of garbage in the middle of the sea and it saddened me. We arrived at the place and prepared to cook our food first before anything else. That was the time we realize we don't have all the kitchen utensils we needed such as caldero, knife among others! So since we don't have our own caldero,we have to find ways on how we can cook our food.Sheng and Rogen went to the stalls/stores nearby hoping we can rent atleast a caldero.Gladly, the store owner lent us a big caldero so we can cook rice now.Next problem,we don't think the charcoal we bought is enough to cook all our food.Thankfully, there was a wood lying nearby so we use it to cook our rice. I was just impress how everyone is very creative and really helping and trying to be girl scout despite very limited resources. You know what amazed me hugely was Rogen's thoughtfulness and affection to her younger sister Shine. She really is a big sister, the protective and loving big sister kind. We had inihaw na bangus, hotdog and itlog na maalat for lunch! We ate around 8am and just as we thought of taking rest first,Kuya Bangkero offered us a deal for only 1200.We thought it was a fair deal not until we found out they are being dishonest. Kuya Bangkero claimed two of the girls who are with us were his nieces but I am sure they are not. SEASIDE TOUR & SWIMMING Bonus during our island tour,we saw a private YACHT chilling in the middle.Ah,see what money can do.It can buy a couple of days worth of happiness so I guess money can buy happiness.only the short lived kind of happiness. MY REFLECTION The sea overwhelms me.I wanted to swim,to dive etc but I always have that fear that I might get drown.I swear I have to really learn how to swim Anyway, what's good about this place was it was very calm and peaceful. There are jellyfish everywhere but they don't sting. The sun was hot,it was perfect place to just go for soul searching. But if you love being in the water then you can stay as long as you want. What made me sad though was the amount of garbage everywhere.I saw some garbage in the middle of the sea from plastic noodle cups, tin cans and food wrappers. It bothered me because few years from now,I don't know what might possibly happen over there.I am always protective of nature because I believe what you planted, you harvest. If we just tolerate people who just litter around then I guess we will have bigger problems in the future. We are all responsible for each other because what others do affects others.I don't know if there's a scientific way proving this theory of mine but I believe in this strongly. I also learn that when things got messed up and didn't go as planned, instead of panicking and focusing how frustrating it is,just enjoy the moment and make something out of it.What's done is done so you might as well focus how to be productive and creative. I also didn't like the place that much the time we were there because it was too crowded! Noise pollution is stressful for me.Other than that,I enjoyed the little tour we had. We returned to our hut around lunch time.It was fucking hot like you can feel the hot air from the ocean but it was a combination of freshness and a bit of cold air wrapped in warm summer air.I was able to sleep for a couple of minutes.Woke up,ate the left over fish and packed up for our departure. We left the place around 17:15 BE FLEXIBLE I learned that to be able to enjoy, you must cut some slack and just be flexible.Be present with who ever you are with.Be on the game.Be enthusiastic of else you will spoil the energy of the group. The reason I was hesitant to go with them is I might be too boring for them.Their sense of humor is different from mine. They are just naturally funny and here I am serious and all. Somehow,I had some fun.I just wish I knew how to swim and I don't have that phobia. But I think what really healed me was the positive natural energy the ocean had for me.It was just overwhelming.
