His leading lady is also very beautiful, she's got that naughty and innocent charm that's hard to ignore.Well,I find Indian women in general as naturally attractive so maybe I'm a bit bias on this one.
I'm not usually into macho looking man.It usually annoys me watching something where they keep highlighting the abs or biceps or anything bulgy but whatever,it rarely attracts me.It doesn't even turn me on! Unless, you put Ian Somerhalder's eyes in them then probably I would be so captivated even screaming like how normal girls would react to cute guys.
Much to my surprise, this particular movie was somehow different from the previous movies that I've watch due to the fact that he was muscular and over all bulgy and well,I admit for the first time I find it sexy.I was really distracted when they zoom the camera to his body. It's distracting really.I was like,"oh my,can you stop it already" I have already "eyegasmed" thousand times!
As usual,Amir Khan is praise worthy in his role as a well respected businessman to a heartless killer look. The transformation of being the passionate man he is again after murdering the man responsible for the death of Kalpana and the man responsible for his condition.
Cheers also to an amazing performance of her leading lady Asin. Her beauty is just captivating.
Sunita, a medical student, who tries to study the case of Sanjay Singhania and his amnesiac problem, even though she is forbidden to do so.
Anyways,in terms of content,It was too long.I think it was prolonged by the dancing and singing,a trademark in Bollywood films.
Sanjay Singhania,a successful businessman, chairman of a mobile phone company,Air Voice; who later suffers from short term memory loss after a brutal attack.
He fell in love to a struggling ad model Kalpana who gained publicity by falsely claiming she was Sanjay's boyfriend.
Out of curiosity,Sanjay went on his own to confront Kalpana but ended falling in love instead.
The story felt to me like those on super heroes with a touch of fairy tale. For some reason,I was imagining Robinhood courting Cinderella. He's the guy with dual personality,an ordinary gentleman in her eyes but a secret millionaire on the other hand.On the other hand,Kalpana is Cinderela,a poor woman with a good heart.
I would say,in reality this is so much flawed because it would be impossible for a businessman to be roaming in town without being recognized or at least for his safety, that's a bit questionable!
There should be a bit of time conflict every time she asked him to go see her considering his important appointments or bodyguards.
He was amused of her enthusiasm and how totally different she is.Much more,he fell in love with her passion and kindness.
They dated for a while. He even saved her when her boss asked her to invite Sanjay to the party and she has to create a make believe boy friend. No one really met Sanjay in person so it was safe for him to play along.
Meanwhile, she told him she can't marry yet not until she bought three cars to prove her uncle that her family is not a looser. She was able to buy one second hand car and was really so proud amusing Sanjay making him fall in love with her even more.
Sanjay had an important business to attend in London but this means he have to come up with a lie.He told her,his mother is really ill and he needed to visit her. When she asked how he's gonna pay for the hospital bills,he have to come up with another lie by telling her he is going to sell a piece of his inherited land.
The next day, before he leaves, she asked him to meet her. He was beautifully surprise again by her.She sold her second hand car and gave Sanjay the money to pay for his mother's hospital bills. She told him not to sell the land because that's an important inheritance. Not knowing how to react with the lie he came up with,he left with the cash on his hand amused of her beautiful character but guilty too for involving her just like that.
She was killed by Gahjini,a notable social personality in the city, and the man directly responsible for Kalpana's death and Sanjay's condition for interfering in his child trafficking business. She was killed in her lovers arms, both of them laying on the floor helpless.
Then from there... I got lost...
There's a beautiful story to tell in between but it seemed rushed and left out such as the transformation of a business man to a man suffering from 15 min memory lost to acquiring a serial killer skill and ability to kill.Considering it's three hours long,I was expecting a picture of detailed transformation but it didn't happen. For me,It's a bit rushy towards the end.
It wasn't also clarified how he managed to have all the photos and phone numbers in his body knowing he suffered from memory lost right after he was hit on the head. I mean it wasn't that clear in the movie if he remembers details every 15 minutes, how did he come up with the camera thing? How did he remember exactly what happened? and how is it that he devoted his time killing leaving his company to someone's care which isn't also unclear and a bit vague. It should really be one of the significant highlight of the movie.
I also feel like the last few scenes were rushed just to make a happy fairy tale ending considering they started the story well.Usually, the end clarifies all.Or I mean, you usually wrap it up towards the end which they did only it was rushy.
How is it that he killed tons of men,he killed a popular businessman then he just got away from the law just like that?
I know it's all about revenge but in between, the most significant details seemed left out leaving a big question mark.
It left me with the impression that he has a license to kill because he's rich.
I mean,I understand this is just a movie,a fantasy but I've seen his other films and somehow I have that certain expectation in his films.
Anyway,I just love the intensity of each scene. This movie is really charming and I had a few good laugh with tears on the side. You feel the rage, the love, the joy like it's easy to adopt or empathize and I commend the actors for that.
